Attached is 480V/277V 2000A switchboard sketch which shows switchboard three compartments: Ct cabinet, Spare Breaker, 2000A breaker. The CT cabinet compartment in switchboard is tapped which is line side tap in the compartment three times to following: 50A and 60 service disconnects to telecom equipment on roof and line side tap to 600A service disconnect new which feeds ambulatory outpatient in commericial building that has operation room, recovery rooms, procedure room. All service disconnects are grouped in one location in electrical room.

NEC 2014 Article 517.41(C) says normal electrical service needs to be evaluated and internal wiring need to be evaluated and equipment failures. The switchboard has 2000A breaker feeding loads would addition of 600A likley cause 2000A switchboard bus to fail now or in future such that NEC 2014 Article 517.41(C) come into play not sure since tap is being made at line side but still internal to switchboard?

Thank you for your input

Sorry for the attitude, but do you read any of these code sections? That is not what it says, nor does that sentence even make any sense. If you would read over these code sections several times, and proof read your posts better, I think more people would be inclined to help.

The section is NEC 2014 Article 517.44(C) at middle of paragraph consideration shall also be given to the possible interruption of normal electrical services resulting from similar causes as well as possible disruption of normal electrical service due to internal wiring and equipment failures.

They must have relocated above section in NEC 2017 Article 517.41(C) but not in NEC 2017.
