ECG in Cable Tray for parallel cable branch circuits

A steel cable tray run contains multiple branch circuits (each of parallel conductors) and has a common ECG bare copper conductor bonded to the tray and sized for the largest branch circuit overcurrent protective device, essentially making the cable tray the ECG.

Does each branch circuit require a separate ECG or does the single bonded conductor suffice?

If you have a wire type equipment grounding conductor then check out 250.122(C).

Thank you. I used this reference in my discussion with my client. You've confirmed its' validity. Very clear to me. Thank you.
