The above NEC section refers to transformers being connected to feeders in multi-building complexes. I'm trying to interpret this section and see exactly how the OCPD is to be sized for the transformer feeders. My interpretation is that the primary feeder OCPD is selected according to NEC 450.3 while the secondary feeder OCPD is selected to carry the locked rotor currents of the fire pump motor plus the pressure maintenance pump motor plus the F.L.C. of the associated fire pump accessory equipment plus 100% of the remaining loads. Is this correct?
