Feeder Grounded Conductor Minimum Size

2011 NEC 215.2(A)(2) appears to refer to itself. "Additional minimum sizes shall be as specified in 215.2(A)(2)..."

Can anyone explain that reference?

215.2(A)(2) is pretty clear. The grounded conductor (neutral) shall not be smaller than the egc from T. 250.122. Thus a 100 amp feeder would need a neutral sized at #8. Remember if the feeder doesn't require a neutral then one is not required. If you decide to pull one for future use then it cannot be smaller than the egc, as Walker stated above.
