The take away for me is that the difference is better described by isolated vs. non-isolated than transformer vs. transformerless. It's notable that 'isolated' is the term Enphase used in the whitepaper. So to go back to post #10...
Enphase inverters are the only ones I'm aware of that are both ungrounded and isolated.
