What do you guys use for battery cables? I've used welding cable but CEC says it's a no go, hopefully some canucks and chime in.

I'm looking for single conductor fine stranded cable for battery banks on off-grid solar installs. Both for jumpers between batteries and for cables going from battery bank to inverters and charge controllers. Sizes #4AWG up to 4/0

Inspectors up here won't pass welding cable so I'm wondering what approved cable is the most cost effective.

Use DLO that is also RHH insulation rated.
RHH is a recognized insulation type and can be found

We use Cobra X-Flex battery cable. It's UL listed and comes in red and black.
