    Another 2008 question

Are open splices permitted in a display booth of an exhibition hall in a non-GFCI-protected 20A circuit?

No fair, I didn't try at the last one!

I really need to either move my computer to the bathroom, or bring the 2008 in here.

We go through this all the time with exhibitionists. The NEC doesn't apply to utilization devices. (Blenders, toasters, or display booths.) Regardless, the exhibition halls have standards, and open splices are generally a no-no everywhere, definately in Javits.
