What is the significance of these three sections? Don't we already have Section 110.2 for this purpose?

What additional evaluation is required by the AHJ when dealing with these system types verses any other wiring system or equipment?

Is there equipment and materials intended exclusively for the purpose of these Articles? Is there equipment and materials NOT intended for use on these systems?

At the time that these sections were added to the NEC, the book was not long enough to be acceptable as a legal document, so they just added "fluff". ;)

Sometimes one hand does not know what the other hand is doing. I would think that when this was written, that the CMP had a lapse of memory and the TCC was busy with other more important issues... it is called slipping between the cracks.

Thanks for the comments.

Does anyone know of any equipment or component that is specifically listed for use on emergency or stand-by systems or that can't be used for these systems due to its listing requirements?
