NOTIFICATION DEVICES IN A FOUNDRY OPEN FLOOR

Good morning, in designing a fire alarm system for an open space in foundry. I found there isn't much places to mount the speakers-strobe and/or strobe lights around the equipment open floor. Just a line column in the center of the building that support the roof, and all the outer wall of the foundry.

Is it practical, to use the equipment layout to install these devices? Using the wall surface of the equipment to mount them (I'm assuming we will have big and tall equipment on the floor). Not sure if the code requires a non-movable wall to install any devices.

I assume that once the equipment is in place it's not going to do a lot of moving... puts a strain on the power cords!

Paul, that's what I think. But I still would like to know if there is any known restriction by designing this way.
