Recepticle Mounting

I keep getting into arguments about the recepticle ground being mounted up or down.I say it's a personal preference or a job spec.I don't believe it's a code article.Can someone help????

Yeah, lots of times when these guys work for some one. They think the way they are told to do some thing is the code.
I get in all sorts of arguments because of the way they learned to do some thing, while working for some one else.
