i inspected a home for a friend of mine, a very old home.
everything seemed fine until i turned the stove to the bake setting and half of the lights thruout the house got very bright. i have my own theory of what it could be. but i thought it woul be best to ask for a more informed answer.
i hope you can help.

Well what seemed, OK?

You didn't state any Voltage or Amp reading!? I would frankly be very carefully, I know and seen of wires in Old house too.... don't get me wrong.

You did say that you cracked anything open, what is OK?

good point cadpoint. what i meant was that all looked normal at first glance. i was not able to dig too deep due to the fact that my friend hasn't closed on the purchase of the house. he got a little worried when this happeened and said he might no buy the house because just prior to me getting there the plumber had told him the house needed to be rplumbed.
he call me yesterday and is going ahead with it and i was just looking for a starting point.
excuse the long winded reply.
