unfortunately our visit didn't help much
sometimes it's just nice to know a poster's name or where he is located.
He might be a neighbor or his geographical location might effect an answer.
I'm from TN and we have some "special" State rules. If I see a fellow TN poster, I keep them in mind.
In any event, it's nice to know you appreciated our visit.

I agree on the location thing as well, when I go to a page 90 percent of the time is to see where the persons from. In oregon we have the oregon specialty code, that can totally change some articles.

I like the idea of letting people know where you are from as well. In my opinion, letting people know your main thrust is also nice. I am a utility guy but I hide it well.
