Any idea how to determine the fault current rating for an industrial control panel for automated process control. This has 120vac, single phase, 60 hz feeding it.
The rating of the main device probably has no bearing on the SCCR of the other devices in the panel.
Basically, the UL 508A method, is to look at the rating of each individual device in the panel, take into account potential series ratings, and consider secondaries of control power transformers and circuit protected by GFCI's. Or, take the easy way out, don't look at anything and just consider the entire panel as having a 5kA SCCR.
