Your age has to be less tha 35! That's the cut-off, Good Luck.

I would read all the AU.gov stuff and understand all of it before you do anything, and before you run off into the com.au sites!

australia employment

This is a list found using my favorite search engine

What are they looking for? Commercial industrial residential? My bags are packed who has the info. Maybe even the hack can go I know hes single.

They're looking for sparkys of all stripes. I went to the list of occupations and Electrician scores the highest number possible, 60, Rocket Scientist only scores 50. Age under 45 scores you an extra 15 points. But finding the info-so much blah, blah, blah- gives me a bigger headache than reading my code book.

My sister got her Australian "green card" work visa (chemist) after much difficulty. They are protectionist, but a good electrician is hard to find. Good luck.

I know about the protectionist mentality. I thought about doing this twenty years ago. Then it was next to impossible. Now the climate is more inviting over there.

It still seems like a lot of detail oriented paper work, which I've never excelled at. I'm good enough at the wiring thing, more than lousy at the administrative thing. Typing on this forum is the full extent of my computer skills. Guess that's why I still wear my tool belt every day.

Had it been the other way around I'd be looking for vacation advice. Still the idea of going there to work interests me more.
Sick, huh?

I went there a few times in the navy and I loved it. Come to think of it that wouldn't be the worst idea I ever heard to pack up my tools and head down now I'm without those grey ships.
