I have a limit switch here (ge part# cr215gfa)and it has a nameplate rating of 600 VAC. The control voltage I need to put the switch in line with is 125 VDC. Will it be ok to use this switch for this application? Also how would I go about finding this information?

most likely not ok as dc tends to arc

What are you going to do if it fails and causes a lot of damage? First thing that will be said is: "It isn't rated for DC." Not trying to be a smartaleck, just a realist.

Also I looked for cut sheets on the switch and none of them said anything other than 600 VAC rated.
