The installation that I'm planning is for a portable generator connection in the event of power failure....
Switch the panel mounted transfer switch, roll the generator up to the exterior flanged receptacle, plug it in, and crank her up.
Load shedding will be done manually by the homeowner.
A typical (excluding the exterior transfer switch) standby installation with manual transfer.
The panel mounted transfer mechanism will make this installation a lot more simple.
Ive heard them discussed (here) before but I wasn't sure if they were available.
