I am installing 120v wiring for motor controled window treatments.
the problem is that the window treatments come with a cord with a female plug on the one end and a tail to be hard wire on the other end (the cords are rubber cords). The installation is taking place in a commercial building and the only way to install the cords to meet the standards is to drill through the drywall in the ceiling where the treatments are being mounted and run the cord aprox. 4ft. to a accessible jbox above a drop ceiling. I forgot to mention the female end plugs into the listed motor. Can anyone give me any info if this would be acceptable to code or not and please give me some refrerences.
