conduits sprayed with insulation

does anyone know an nec art. that prevents someone from spraying pipes with insulation at the time when the structure is sprayed with fireproofing/insulation
 
Maybe the CDA can fund a study for this like they did for rooftop conduits to show a need for more copper:D

That roof top requirement along with 125% two times kills me when figuring conductors for PV installations, at least voltage drop is not much of an issue. :roll:

No, no, no....go right ahead. I'm in the research stage of my patented RLRP.
 
I'd have thought (though have no code to back it up) that insulating the pipe would require derating the conductors therein, because the I2R losses which come out as heat will be less effectively disappated...?
