I am working on a remodel where they have 40 remote ballasts for 400w MH lights. There is a long gutter in the mechanical room with 20 ballasts mounted above and 20 ballasts below. Each ballast is in its own enclosure and they are made by Wide Light, I believe. They are incredibly expensive and I can't find any by any other manufacturer. The GE F-Can ballasts sound like remote but they look like a flourescent ballast with the wires hanging out. Do they make a listed enclosure for it? Does anyone else make a remote ballast that comes in an enclosure? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

how many lamps do each of these ballasts serve? how much do you think is expensive? how much room do you have to work with on this gutter, and how many do you have to replace?
