It doesn't but it's hard to meet the 3% voltage drop requirement with 14 guage,,,,so I run at least twelve for everything small,,,,,,and then of course size accordingly for the rest of the bigger loads. I never run 14 in commercial. Copying machines,,,,,things like that won't run on a 15 amp circuit

?? I know some copy machine mfr's require a 20A dedicated circuit; however that is 'some', not all.

There are many smaller copy machines that have a smaller draw and will work just fine on a 15A circuit.

That said, I've never installed a 15A ckt in a commercial application.

I've used 15a circuits in non-residential work when it was appropriate.

Yes me too, we run a lot of 14 AWG for control circuits.

I have also been noticing that many of the Supermarket cases I work with actually specify 15 amp circuits .............. of course per the engineered plans each receives 20 amp circuits 'cause it's commercial' :rolleyes:
