Voltage between conductors in a box

Isn't there a requirement for a barrier in a switch box to separate conductors of different systems? For instance a 277 volt switch and a 120 volt switch occupying the same two gang box.

Basically voltage between devices can not exceed 300v

Also new in the 2008 NEC 406.4(G) has the same requirements for receptacles as 404.8(B) for switches.

I would put a barrier. The possiblity definately exists for >300V.

Presuming you mean two circuits from two different phases, that is correct. They would have 480 volts between them.
