HDMI, Audio, video cables

Hello:
Professional audio video installers use longer lengths of HDMI, digital coax (RG59) and Optical coax in lengths of 1 meter, 5 meter and 15 meters and the longer lengths are installed behind the wall and the shorter ones direct between equipments.
Are these cables need to be listed as CL2 or CM or AWM? Under what NEC code?

Thanks,
Balu Iyer

I suspect that much of what you are asking about is in:

2008 NEC 725.179
2008 NEC 800.179
2008 NEC 820.179 and
2008 NEC 830.179

One could also include:
2008 NEC 760.176 and
2008 NEC 760.179

HDMI, Audio, vedio cables

HDMI, Audio, vedio cables

hello friends:
My question is:
Do the cables connected between equipments (outside the wall) require any listing?
say, 6 ft HDMI cable or coax cables. Many in the market do not come with any listings.

Thanks,

Nope they are outside of the scope of NEC as they are not premisses wiring. Cross the line of inside the wall, now NEC has something to say. Your situation is UL territory.
