Nec 210.8

Electrical contractor of commercial hotel/motel construction wants to use
only one circuit to combine lights and GFI outlets in Guest Bathroom and Guest living room.
NEC 210.8 (B) (1) requires separate circuits for guest living area and bathroom for each room of hotel/motel.

Is NEC allows to use only one circuit for Guest Living area and Guest Bathroom? If yes, which article?

NEC 210.8 (B) (1) requires separate circuits for guest living area and bathroom for each room of hotel/motel.

210.8(B)(1) does not require separate circuits for guest living areas and bathrooms. 210.8(B)(1) only requires that receptacles in non-dwelling unit bathrooms be GFCI protected.

Unless the hotel/motel guestroom qualifies as a dwelling unit you don't need to have a separate 20 amp circuit for bathroom receptacles. 210.11(C)(3) only applies to dwelling units.

I would recommend looking at 210.60 for guest rooms and suites. This section requires that you meet the requirements of 210.52(D) but the receptacle does not need to be on a dedicated 20 amp circuit.

It can be tricky to use the NEC definition of a bathroom in a hotel/motel. Many sleeping rooms technically do NOT have bathrooms.
