Finally got my masters license in Colo., and was that ever a tough one, and was just wondering what everyone thinks as for as keeping my journeymans card also or not.

I am not sure exactly how the licensing in Colorado works but here in Utah a master license is just like a journeyman's license except you can now be the qualifier for an electrical contractors license.

After I got my Utah masters license I did not renew my journeyman's license.

Congratz!!!!

Its a personal preference whether to keep your JMan card or not.

Most everyone I know has kept it, just in case their company folds and then they can go back to work for someone else as a JMan.

Not to sure how other companys feel about hiring a Master now adays, but in past they wouldn't accept it.

I will keep my JMan card as the cost is not high.

I havent had a chance to look over Gov Ritters new bill regarding new competency testing for 2011....that may change things.
