Seriously, several VFD mfrs make products for that industry, but brand-label them exclusively to the Elevator mfrs because of the liability issues. Try people like Otis, Thyssen/Krupp and the like.

The brand labeling has nothing to do with the liability issue. It has to do with the limited software parameters and other hardware changes that produces a cheaper drive. There are also elevators with standard off-the-shelf drives.
The safeties required are independent from and external to the drives.
