I have been asked to locate a 25 amp 2p FPE breaker to replace the existing A/C circuit protected with a 30 amp 2p.

The unit nameplate states: min 20 / max 25. Not much of a spread.

Does anyone have a good source for a wide selection of FPE breakers?

Lowes used to sell FPE. I suspect they still do.
 
if you cant find the breaker, install a fused disconnect with 25 amp fuses, or a disconnect of brand of your choice with 2 pole 25 amp breaker outside next to the unit....

HD carries FP breakers, but fat chance of you finding a 2 pole 25.

talk them into a panel change. ;)
Here's a sales pitch: The breaker will cost you the same as the new panel, why not pay the extra cost to have me install a new panel, and get two benefits: 1. Safer panel 2. A reliable 25 amp breaker

I mentioned this to the Seller and he is a little concerned about the possibility of nuisance tripping. I think with an FPE that should not be a problem. :grin:
 
I have some old dual 20's and dual 30's under my bench. Maybe some shops in Canada may still have something.
