Question on split bolt connectors???

Are the high strength corrosion-resistant bronze alloy split bolt connectors typically found at Grainger, etc. approved for direct burial in earth or concrete for the bonding of #8 solid for a pool equipotential grid? If not, is there a specific split bolt connector that can be used, similar to the J-clamp (DB25)?

Most split bolts are listed for direct burial, concrete I am not sure about.

It looks like a hose clamp for a car and is actually listed as a grounding clamp. You see them in old homes with small services where the GEC attached to the water pipe. In my opinion, they are junk.

I've also seen perforated copper strap with a copper or brass nut and bolt used.

I have seen those as well Larry on water service piping in Indiana....old home that is. We trashed it on a service upgrade and used a "what we now refer to as a cold water clamp".
