When calculating the service size for a Funeral Home, what bldg type is used?? Churches are listed, but what is a Funeral Home classified as and why??

Creepy! Come on, I know there are tons of guys that have done load calcs on a Funeral Home. Give me some insight man! Pretty please!:grin:

Assembly Halls and Auditoriums looks like the right one to me however, you might want to call an electrical engineer for this one.

You don't perchance know what to calculate a residential garage as do you?

Now with NM above dropped ceilings banned, more than likely it would be AC cable, but NM would be just fine inside the walls.

The viewing rooms I have seen are for 75 people at most, not counting the guy in the box :grin:

As far as load calculations,the largest load I saw was the hot water tank.Nothing else was bigger.

I service several funeral homes and a crematory.

One of the funeral homes has an 600amp service.

Elevator, showroom lighting, chapel lighting, HVAC load, refrigeration load, prep equipment, offices, etc.

The kicker is...the bldg. was originally a large house that is now well over 100 years old.
