Motor Connection

I have a 6-Lead 480V motor. The motor leads are labeled T1,T2,T3,T7,T8, and T9. This numbering is different from the standard 1-6 lead nomenclature I'm used to seeing on 6-lead motors.

The nameplate says to connect T1&T7, T2&T8, and T3&T9. This is a single voltage rated motor. The diagram on the nameplae would seem to imply that maybe this is two detla windings in parallel but I'm not sure.

Anyone ever seen this nomenclature?

That's a Y connection. power applied to (1-7) (2-8) (3-9) then connect 4-5-6. it parallels Y windings...

I see what you are saying however this is typically for a 9-lead motor. This motor only has 6 leads. Unless the 4-5-6 leads are connected internally?

I find this strange because if these leads are connected internally and this is a parallel wye winding then it would mean if you connected these windings in series (dual volatage motor) the motor would be rated for 960V?
