In an IC recessed fixture, is an MR-16 with a factory built-in lens a "completely enclosed lamp," or does the fixture need a lensed-style trim as well?

The Handbook say the purpose of the requirement is to prevent a "hot filament falling from a broken incandescent lamp {from igniting} combustible material below."

In a lensed MR-16, you have a filament, a glass capsule, and a lens.

What do you think? Is the lensed MR-16 enough, or must the trim be lensed too?

Thanks

That's an excellent question.
I've queried a member of CMP 18 and asked.
