I am taking a stab at laying out an electrical room however I have a 150kva xfmr 480-208Y/120V, when entering and exiting the transformer (EE dry type) with a flexible connection how Is it typically installed? My curiosity is more on the secondary side where the secondary is a parallel set of 350?s to a DP located adjacent to it I am trying to determine the distance between the xfmr, and the distribution board seeing how the secondary exits the front right side of the far and is about 28? off the wall however the DP only being 12? deep how do you make the transition (back to back bends) to get into the panelboard with having significant distance between the two?

Kind of hard to put into words but I'll try. I use back to back flex 90's and build the room as I go. I mount the DP and cut my knockouts. Then I build my flexes wire and all and hang them out of the DP. Then you can work the transformer into place and install the primaries. Have 1 to do in a few weeks maybe I'll train my laborer to be a videographer.

Some of the neatest installs I've seen used wireway.
A section bolted to the transformer, front to rear, then a 90 and another section under the panel. With the larger wires it's a lot easier than flex 90s, often more Code compliant than an LB and looks professional.

Flex??

Flex??

The thing is I have panel board that is 96? high x 12?deep 600A main switch (sw/fuse distribution) I was thinking of leaving 24? between the xfmr and the distribution panelboard and envisioned something like 2-3? flex connections (parallel) to the DP exiting the xfmr into a fitting similar to (http://appletonelec.com/PDF/NEERAC.pdf#TW12) and then using flex back and radius into the DP, the 24? distance would allow for approx 15? radius bend the minimum required for a reduced wall steel flexible conduit (http://www.alliedtube.com/electrical-raceways/conduit/flexible-metal-conduit-ew.asp) does this make sense or am I thinking way to much into the installation?

Here's a wireway/flex connection to a transformer:
