I have a job that has a high bay ceiling with metal trusts every 8 feet. I have to go beam to beam for lights and for heat detectors. My question is what type of clip do you guys use to strap the pipe within 3 feet of the box. I see a caddy clip that has like a 12" bar with one snap in strap on each end. I dont relly like these because first of all this is an exposed install and the clips are black and I dont really like the snap in piece I would rather a screw type cowboy. I would rather not drop a rod from the q deck , Any sugestions?

I don't know the manufacturer but there is a galvanized plate that is designed to attach a 4 sq or 4 11/16 to and has holes for minnis within about 3" from the box. Secure plate to beams and install boxes and conduit.

You can 90 in and out of your boxes.

That seems like a lot of trouble just to get around the looks of a black conduit clamp. Extra time spent bending 90's, not being able to pull wire straight through the boxes, and on top of it all, you still have to come up with a way to strap the conduits.

I'd rather use the hangers mentioned and then painted them if I had too.

They are called Gill Specials here. Only they are offset so you can use 1 hole straps.

Mineralacs and toggle bolts with the wings on top (if we're talking about bar joists.)

How about spraying the black clips with metallic silver paint?
