This may be a stupid question, but here it goes.

I have a 3c #6 W/Ground UF cable it measures aprox. 1-1/2" wide and maybe 3/8" thick, can I assume it would go in a 2" PVC conduit or can I somehow size the conduit mathematically?

You would size it as if it were round using it's widest dimension. Look at note #9 in Chapter 9 Tables.

Not a stupid question at all, but you might feel that way about the answer.

It may pay to terminate the UF and connect to individual conductors, depending on the situation, of course.

Assuming your sleeving the UF for physical protection where it exits the ground, there are no sizing requirements. As long as you can get it to fit in the conduit, is all that matters.

Area = (R * R) * 3.14(Pi) Note 9 to Tables in Chapter 9, I come up with 2-1/2" Sch 40.
