Part of ongoing T and M job at the local Parks and Rec. Went to dig out some PVC to get it cut off below grade to transition to RMC and eliminate an outdoor panel change over to LB's and thru the wall to a gutter on the inside for the new panel.

One of the pipes had circuits for 2 double pole breakers and and a random 12awg not hooked to anything in the panel. Anybody see a neutral or a ground in there?

This is their way of coupling PVC....lots of electrical tape and clearly no glue judging by the fact in came off in my hand with little effort.

These are their RE washers.

Haven't done it yet. The new panel is up and all the home runs are in it but not gutter no breakers no LB's. This job has the two of us running around like chickens with our heads cut off with different projects and the shop being like molasses getting material. Ridiculous I tell you.....ridiculous. Got that started then it was the rest of the day figuring out why most of the Musco lights on the poles around the baseball field didn't work. Tomorrow who knows? Also the same place with the "camouflage junction box" as Pierre so eloquently called it that I had in the other thread.

Exactly why I avoid our shop. Really, why get the shop involved, just get it done and move on.

To echo what Chris said, why do you go through your shop? Are there no supply houses in the area?

Our boss only orders the expensive stuff for us, switchgear, big wire, large quantities of conduit if needed, etc. Everything else we call in to the supply house and get it ourselves right away. He knows how much labor it eats when guys don't have all their material because their bosses are trying to order it in cheaper than it can be had at the local supply house. Labor being far more expensive than a few bucks saved on fittings, so he lets us get our own material. I love it.

I get a little POd when the guys tell me they don't have something to do the job. If they need it, get it or order it. Just don't forget to bill it out. That's worse.

Well not to bad mouth the guy but the word "micro manager" comes to mind if you follow.
