Lap Wound vs Wave wound DC Machine

This is my first post in the forum. I am attempting to design an electric motor. I have a question that affects what equations I will use. How do you differentiate between a lap wound and a wave wound DC machine. And what way is the following wound?

So would it be correct to say the image above is wound using lap winding (reasonings -> Coils are connected in series using the commutator)? Or is my logic somehow screwed up?

Didnt post on wikiAnswers, dont use it actually. Thanks for your reply and now I am almost certain it is Lap Wound. I knew the theory just wasnt sure because most diagrams I came accross in my research were for a single loop and not a coil.
