I just recieved a letter from a customer praising my helper and myself for the work we did in her home. It really is nice to have someone take a minute to write a note to show their appreciation for the work that you have done.:)

Keep it and use it as a professional reference. It may make the difference between going home empty handed and closing the sale.

I have a few notes and thank you cards from customers over the years stored away somewhere, Its been a while since I had one because I dont do as much residential work anymore, but it always a moral booster. I may look for them and put them in a binder some time...

I've had contractors and owners offer me many things when a job is finished, but I always tell them that a letter to my boss would be much more appriciated. The unsolisited ones are the best though. They actually go into my personel file.

Kind of nice to have those "atta-boys" in there just in case.

And when someone treats you with excellent service do them a favor and pass on the good karma, send a letter to their boss.

So many people complain, few pay compliment where the good words have impact.

That is great that they bothered to take the effort instead of just calling. Be sure to ask for permission to reproduce their letter for advertising.

We always leave with "If you have any problems with our work, please let us know; if you're happy with our work, please let your friends know."
