Is it code compliant to use a bonding jumper between a ground rod and the metal frame of a building? Does that make the building frame bonded?
I thought you had to land the jumper on the ground bus, or water pipe, but I could be wrong.
Thanks for any help, and code ref.

You can bond all the parts of the grounding electrode system together with bonding jumpers.

Just keep in mind you will still need to have the proper sized GEC's and bonding jumpers when using this method. For example, if a #3/0 is required going to building steel you can not hit the rod with a #6 GEC and then go from the rod to the steel with a #3/0 bonding jumper.
