Plastic Ceiling Boxes

I've noticed on the last 2 plastic ceiling boxes that I have purchased, (Cut in) Slater,and on (Bar Support) Carlon, that the 8/32 holes were not threaded. Why is this?

I have noticed this also recently! I am not sure..labor intensive, plastic not really threadable??? Or just more surface for a drywall screw to grab!!:grin:

on the longer 8/32's they wont make it all the way without binding up.
just wondering what everyone else does. This may be nit picky but I just feel things should work the way they are supposed to.

Use Allied Molded ceiling boxes......No problems there.

I don't recall plastic boxes ever having pre-threaded holes, other than those with metal inserts, of course.
