House keeping pads

Are house keeping pads a requirement for switch gear ? if so by whos code, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and what is the min, max height

Having installed it both ways I would guess that it's a design issue. It's not an NEC issue as far as I know.

It's usually a job spec. Even if it isn't, I install one SOP.

For those who don't know what a housekeeping pad is, it's a concrete curb, or pad, that electrical equipment is set on to raise it off the floor. Keeps liquids from penetrating the gear.
