that is for mwbc. This isn't such, it is a 240v load (two hots, no nuetral).......

Don't think so...
I have a Contractor who used two single pole breakers with a tie handle made from a paper-clip in lieu of a 2-pole breaker. I know this is wrong, but I can not find the section of the NEC that states this. Can someone help?
