SE Feeders 3phase Above Suspended ceiling

I believe it is, But double checking. Codes states now in commericial buildings. No Romex above suspended ceilings. Which we all know.

Is it legal to use SER pvc coated type
3- 4/0 type above suspended ceilings. It mentioned ok in specs.

I dont personaly like, But these days Owners savings seems to supercede.
I will check in code but. But thought it was a good topic to post.
 
Article 338 does not prohibit it but if the space above the ceiling is a plenum then I believe, you have a compliancy issue.

338.10(B)(4)(a) Interior Installations: In addition to the provisions of this Article, Type SE service-entrance cable used for interior wiring shall comply with the installation requirements of Part II of Article 334.
