Fixture block

Does anyone know of a fixture block for a meter can that can be installed over existing siding. I know they have them for outlets. I dont want to cut old siding and run risk of damaging it.

What type of siding?

Very old 4in vinyl siding.

Remove what you need to and install an Arlington block. Then reapply it.

Is there a reason not to install the meter on the siding.

I usually mount on a block. I think it looks better and does not flatten siding.
