Alllen Bradely 1747 BA replacement????

Other than the obvious (when the indicator says so).

Does anyone know if the manufactures recommend how often batteries for an SLC should be changed?

We go about 8 months with the PLC-5 5/40 processors, I don't know about SLC. I know heat is a big factor. We have two processors one for back up, so one is always off and Like I said we go about 8 months

This is from their manual. It doesn't say, but I believe this is with no power applied to the processor. The battery provides backup when power is off to the processor, so the lifetime could be significatly longer then they advertise, if power is normally applied to the processor.

Backup power for RAM is provided by a replaceable lithium battery. The lithium
battery provides backup for approximately five years for the 1747-L511 and two years for the 1747-L514. It provides backup for approximately two years for SLC 5/02, 5/03, 5/04, and SLC 5/05, as well. A battery LED on the processor alerts you when the battery voltage is low
