Single/one pole starter-110coil

There is a low water cut off that should be turning on and of the 1/3hp motor. In the directions for the low water cut off they said the contacts are not rated for the 1/3 pump. So they recommend isntalling a starter. Any Thoughts

A relay from an appliance repair supply is the cheapest or get a solid state relay ( no contacts to wear out). Actually you can probably get a small relay at Grainger.
 
I agree. Since you don't need overload protection a realy should work fine.
 
Allen Bradley ice cube relays can handle a 1/3HP 120 volt motor. They'd be easy to change too when they wear out.

Most of the times those micro switches are rated 5A or so and have a HP rating as well. In any case you still don't need a starter. Being fractional horsepower you don't need overload protection so any relay will be good.
