When calculating the dwelling unit load in a multi-family building using Sect 220.82 (NEC 2005), is it necessary to add anthing for spare capacity? ie: if the calculated load is 90 plus amps, is a 100 amp feeder correct?

Welcome to the forum.:)

There is nothing in the NEC that requires that you add any additional loading to a service or feeder calculation for possible future loads.

It could be a good design practice to do so though.
