Pendant Drops

Can a light duty diecast bell box be used for pendant drops? Also does the box it hangs from also need a threaded hub?

Also we have to install these with a drop ceiling overhead. There is 18 drops. I was planning on dropping allthread and spannig strut across room just above grid to mount boxes on for hanging pendants. The boxes will protrude through the ceiling tile. I dont know of any way to use a cover plate for a clean look at the ceiling tile. Any ideas?

I like to use a 4/0 mud ring then trim with a 4/0 die cast bell box cover
(a dome shaped one)

if my kielims grips are 3/4 then I'll use a GRC with re bushing and 1/2" nipple

I would say no, you should use a proper listed pendant box.
