there is a condo complex, 23 differnet buildings, with 23 different, stand alone fire panels.

do the panels need to be on a dedicated 120v circuit. they are battery packed up, and monitors by a company.

Yes, under the 2008 NEC 760.121(B) requires an individual branch circuit to supply a power limited fire alarm system.

Correct, this was a change in the 2008 NEC to require an individual branch circuit to supply a power limited fire alarm system.

However, NFPA 72-2002 states in part:

4.4.1.4.1 Dedicated Branch Circuit A dedicated branch circuit of one of the following shall supply primary power:
(1) Commercial light and power

There is no vertical bar next to this section, meaning that it dates back to at least the previous edition in 1999.

Correct, my comment was based only on the NEC.
