As an electrical inspector, where would you mandate the use of double hole compression lugs, other than when the mating surface is built to accomodate a 2 hole, lug mounting? Give specifics, please

thanks, dave

intresting

intresting

specifications call for 2-hole long barrel double indent...sometimes modified for wire bending space as these will not always fit with the allowable bendng reqruiements of the cable and equipment space avaliable..

Its never up to the electrical inspector to mandate anything.

Its his job to verify compliance with the applicable requirements, not make up stuff on his own.

The two hole lugs or NEMA lugs, work much better than the one hole for larger wire sizes, say > 1, as the lugs don't twist when tightned. Burndy makes a stacking adapter for conductors in parallel.
