exposed cable bus

I am wanting to install some vertical cable bus. Since these are routed in free air and they will be mounted to a wall and ran vertically, do I need any sort of guard or protection around the cable bus. Somebody could grab the conductors but couldn't find anything in the NEC

I've not seen engineered cable bus without an enclosure. Not sure if you could even buy it without one.
