In general you need a seal within 18 inches of enclosures that contain ignition sources like switches, contactors, overcurrent devices, and you also need a seal at the boundary of the classified location, it can be on either side of boundary but no other fittings allowed between seal and boundary except a reducing bushing at the sealing fitting.
